The study of the representation of sexuality in Blake Edwards’ movie “10” (1979) shows a link between the presence and absence of romantic love and the construction of cinematographic sex as virtuous, by and large. We see how sexuality on screen is organized between two poles that oppose the “good” sex (one that is summarized by a kiss and where love is present) to the “wrong” sex (one that is explicit and only for pleasure).
