Le Temps des médias n°6, printemps 2006, p.188-202From 1976 to 1983, Argentina was governed by a military dictatorship that ferociously repressed all political opposition. It is reckoned that over 10 000 people were kidnapped, tortured and subsequently disappeared. Since 1984, Argentina TV has covered this issue in several ways. It helps reconstruct accounts aimed at depicting the violation of the rights of man. A highlight of this process is the way in which emotional scenes are portrayed.
