The irruption of terrorism within the States of law undermines the social bond and democracy. In these days of the crisis created by violence, the media produce stories that allow the integration the event into the history of the society affected by the violence. The semiotic and discursive analysis of the newspapers published during the 1995-1996 (Paris) and 2015-2016 (Paris and Nice) attacks makes it possible to understand the evolution of media narratives and the emergence of civil society.
