This article analyses the political challenges revealed by the organization of a workshop on S.8mm technics between 1978 and 1979 in Mozambique. The main purpose of this training was to encourage the writing process of the history of this young republic but it revealed, under the guise of artistic, cultural and ideological conflicts, the will of unification, of legitimization, and of credibility of the political orientation of this newly created party. This testimony shares insights about a little-known period, the beginnings of the Mozambican republic.
