Le marigot médiatique africain. Approches d’une information àrebours (2010-1960)
Since decolonization and the emergence of independent states, the history of African spying has been re-examined by journalists. But their discoveries should be seen less as dispassionate accounts of the truth than as reflections of the murky background of African secret police networks; revelations reflect the complex balance of forces between access to the closed world of secret services and the manipulation and disinformation for obscure aims. This article sets the mechanism of disclosure of their role against the backdrop of contemporary African history; author assesses how Intelligence services seek to influence public opinion.
