An expert in Asian studies, journalist, intrepid traveller, Alexandra David-Neel was one the finest reporters un 1920. She sought recognition through media her entire life, from her first published book in 1898 to her first television interview in 1969. She exploited all modes of communication : writing articles, books, photography, speaking engagements, radio and, finally, television. Her biggest achievement the publishing of her book, Journey of a Parisian Woman in Lhassa, spreading the knowledge of Buddhism during a time period where Asian religions were still terra incognita in the Western Hemisphere.
