Beyond the attraction of the original message, the development of the so-called « new Japanese religions » has always been related on the charisma of their founders and the intensive use of the means of communication of their time. The media in the service of the religions has remained a phenomenon relatively under-researched in Japan. The article aims at presenting some examples of this use,which became one of the characteristics of this major current of the contemporary religiosity.
