Facing the Past : the Great War on Twitter

Our research about the Great War and its Centenary is based on a massive harvest of tweets. The database thus assembled reveals many temporalities, from the high frequency of the information’s circulation that is characteristic of social networks on-line to the presence of the longue durée. The analysis of this interplay of temporalities leads us to question the consequences of social networks on-line on the notion of regime of historicity.
