The article discusses artivist street writing in Egypt and its theoretical implications on Egyptian public space. It will provide an original reading of the political events in Egypt in terms of their inscription in the collective memory and the processes of memorialization. Articulating the notions of places of memory and sanctuaries of writing, the study proposes to shed new light on the notions of mythologies and mythographies that enable artivists to erect sanctified places, both urban and socio-digital, dedicated to their practice.
