Class of Struggle (1969) is the first collective production from Besançon’s Medvedkine group. This experiment, initiated by the intervention of Chris Marker and Mario Marret during the Rhodiaceta Besançon strike in the spring of 1967, aimed to delegate to the workers the tools of their own representation. The making of the film as well as its successive receptions pointed out its potential and its limits.
