In 2004 Bayard, Parisian and Catholic, acquired its secular competitor Milan of Toulouse. We analyze here, through the history of the youth presses of Bayard and Milan, how the two groups successfully merged in spite of their fierce rivalry and apparently irreducible differences. Was it that beyond their opposite positioning, the know-how of the two staffs was actually quite complementary ?
